The founder of T. Kardin Pisau Indonesia is a Geology Engineer that graduated from Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB); he has established this firm based on his hobby as a knife collector. Knife, for one who has business in explorations, is very important in his/her task performing, the nature exploring. This hobby also reinforced by his other activities as a lover of nature or environment in WANADRI (Association of Forest traveller and Mount Climber) that was so known locally and Internationally, By this background, in 1980s, Teddy S. Kardin has try to establish a workshop of knife with 3 workers, but it Is failed. May be it is caused by his business in his activities as a geologist and various other activities. He begins to manage this knife manufacturing seriously since 1990. By his work hard and continue experiments, now he has produce high quality knives. Those works hard are not in waste; currently he has produce knifes that known for its quality, sharpness, strengthens, beautifulness and neatness. Teddy S. Kardin currently has 40 labours that can produce ±
300 knifes monthly. The knifes he produces names as Survival Knife, Survival Skinner, Kukri, Black Commando, Special Force and others. The raw materials used in manufacturing the knifes are D2 steel, O1 Steels, 440C steels, that all satisfy the ATS-34 Standard (American Iron Standard Institute) and Damascus Steel that wide known by knife lovers.
